Pole Pocket BannersAn easy and affordable pole banner hanging solution
Finishing a banner with pole pockets allows for rigid poles to be inserted into the banner along the top & bottom edges for horizontal hanging. This method takes 3” of extra material on the leading and trailing edges and loops it over into a round pocket, where it is fused together by way of heat welding. Pole pokets create a more even distribution of the banner’s weight, which minimizes sagging. Inserting a weighted bar in the bottom pocket can be used to make a hanging banner more flat and taut, which can add to the appearance of your mesage.
Our pole pocket banners are made from our 14oz. vinyl media and double-hemmed for additional strength. This means that the banner is first heat-weld hemmed on both verticalr egdes before the horizontal pole pockets are added. After hemming, the material is looped over and the final hem is added to create the pockets.
Before the banner is completed, a total of six nickel plated grommets are installed along both hem lines to reinforce the pole pockets - 3 on each pole pocketed side. The grommets add an additional layer of tear-resistance and provide a professionally finished look to your banner.
