When you need a banner that will be used outdoors for a long time, stretched between any two poles or in windy conditions, our custom printed mesh banners are a perfect choice for trouble-free use. The perforated nature of mesh allows for wind to easily pass through without catching in the banner and prematurely damaging it. Another cool feature of the mesh is its semi-translucent quality, that allows you to partially see through it. In addition to air, perforated mesh banners let more light and sound pass through as well.
Lightweight 8oz. mesh vinyl, best suited for prolonged outdoor use in windy environments. The material is perforated with a tiny hole pattern that allows wind, light, and sound, to easily pass through. It becomes opaque if hanged onto a backing, and somewhat semi-translucent with semi-see through quality if hung free flowing. It will also allow sound to pass through if hung at stages, around speakers and sound equipment.
Best used when your signage can be subject to windy conditions, mesh banners are fast becoming the preferred choice when high winds can be a problem. Hanging banners can easily be subjected to strong winds that can play a role in its overall lifespan, especially if it has not been properly constructed or installed. Prior to the mesh vinyl material becoming available to print, the only choice was to cut multiple circular slits in a banner to help create areas for wind to easily pass through as a preventative method to eliminate possible tearing. With mesh vinyl, the name defines its use quite accurately. This material has tiny holes perforated through it to ensure that wind can easily pass through the vinyl, while still maintaining the integrity of the banner to ensure the printed message remains visible. If you are planning to hang your banner outdoors, and your sign may be exposed to windy conditions, considering a mesh banner is quite possibly the optimum choice that will allow for a long time of worry free use.
If your banner hangs free flowing between any two anchors, structures, poles or trees, it becomes somewhat semi-translucent, depending on the lighting. It is possible to see through the banner from both sides, especially from the back.
Mesh vinyl allows the sound to easily pass through without creating the echo or barrier that makes it especially useful for stage and concert banners, allowing you to cover your speakers and other music equipment.
We use latest generation 6 Color HP Latex Print Technology. All banners printed in High Pass High Quality Mode (6 pass / 1200 DPI, CMYK LC LM mode), resulting in stunning high resolution prints, with smooth skin tones & gradients, bright logos & text colors, and crisp clear printing with no fuzziness or bluriness down to 4pt text.
8oz mesh vinyl is specially perforated mesh material that allows for high winds to pass through the material hence minimizing damage to the banner in windy outdoor setting. Also this light weight material is perfect for special uses when a partially see through material is required with pass through for light, sound and air. Mesh vinyl does not muffle sound and is therefore ideal for concert & entertainment stages.
In order to prevent fraying and extend banner lifespan, we heat weld the edges of each banner - we fold and bond together approx. 1 inch of extra vinyl material around the edges of the banner on all four sides, forming a connection that cannot be torn apart! Heat welding provides maximum strength, helping your banner withstand wear, pressure and poor weather better than alternatives like stitching, gluing and taping. This is because the vinyl layers are actually fused together into one and works well for banners that require long longevity for commercial use.
The #2-sized metal grommets we use have proven to be extremely durable. They measure 3/4" on the outside with about 1/2" diameter hole. The smooth inside edges of our metal grommets ensure that in most cases, the cord or rope passing through the hole will not chaff as much as other usages and therefore has lower risk of cutting whatever is used to hang the sign.
