3’x8’ Banner Options and Specs
3x8 banners are the perfect choice for announcing a birthday or celebrating a special event that you are planning for someone. It is very affordable to make your own banner and can be easily hung using our included grommets punched into the heat welded hems we include when finishing your banners. They are great for hanging in hall ways, on interior walls, and are durable enough for using these banners for outdoor use to. Their size is small enough so wind slits or other mesh holes do not have to be used when hanging these three foot by eight foot banners outdoors. Because they are only three feet in height wind can easily pass by without putting too much strain on the banner.

- set dpi to be anywhere from 100 to 300 dpi
- regular RGB or sRGB color space
- save as 100% quality jpeg file
- regular RGB, sRGB color space, or
- Coated GRACol or Coated US SWOP v2 color space
- embedded raster images should be at least 100dpi at actual size
- embed all raster images
- convert all text to outlines
- expand all strokes
- save as a pdf file
- at 72dpi - 2592x6912 pixels;
- at 100dpi - 3600x9600 pixels;
- at 150dpi - 5400x14400 pixels;
- at 300dpi - 10800x28800 pixels;
As a general rule, the more detailed your artwork is, the higher DPI (pixel count) it should to be. For pictures and photographs, lower pixel/dpi counts are fine (72-100dpi). For text rich artwork, and for files with lots of details such as logos, maps, menus, etc, use higher pixel/dpi count (150-300dpi).
72 dpi is the minimum resolution we would recommend for printing, and the 300 dpi for the maximum resolution.
