Product and Material Questions
What are acrylic photo prints?
Acrylic photo prints are high-resolution reproductions of your images printed on a clear acrylic panel. The glossy surface and see-through material give your photos noticeable depth, making them a popular choice for home walls, office decor, and gallery displays.
What material do you print on?
We print on clear acrylic, often called plexiglass. It looks like glass but is lighter, more affordable, and far more durable, so it will not shatter the way framed glass can.
Which thickness should I choose?
We offer two thicknesses. The 3/16" (0.1875") panel is a sturdy, lightweight option that suits most prints. The 1/4" (0.25") panel is more rigid and adds extra visual depth, making it a great pick for larger pieces.
Do the prints have a matte or glossy finish?
Every acrylic photo print comes with a glossy finish. The image is printed on the back of the panel and viewed through the clear front, which is what creates the deep, glass-like shine.
Can I use acrylic prints outdoors?
Yes. Acrylic resists sunlight, UV, and moisture, so it holds up well in covered outdoor and high-humidity areas. Just keep it away from open flame and extreme freezing temperatures, which can distort the panel over time.
What sizes and shapes are available?
Custom sizes run from 20" x 20" up to 40" x 40" in square or rectangular shapes, and you can order them in portrait or landscape. To keep shipping simple, no side can exceed 40" — larger pieces would require freight transport.
What photos look best on acrylic?
Images with bold, contrasting colors shine on acrylic. The glossy surface makes dark tones look rich and bright tones look luminous, which is why family portraits, landscapes, and vibrant artwork are especially popular.
Ordering, Installation & Care Questions
How do I prepare my file for printing?
Upload the highest-resolution image you have, ideally around 300 dpi at the actual print size. We accept JPEG, PNG, TIFF, PDF, EPS, PSD, and AI files. If your image is a little small, our design tools can help enhance it before printing.
Can I upload my own image or design online?
Both. You can upload a print-ready photo, or open our online design tool to add text, graphics, and effects. There is also a library of templates you can customize if you want a head start.
How do I mount an acrylic photo print?
Acrylic photo prints install with metal standoffs for a clean, floating wall mount, available in silver or black. Drilled holes are included so the standoffs attach securely — just choose your hole placement in the design tool before checkout.
Can I order a multi-panel gallery set?
Yes. Order each panel separately and send the artwork already split for each piece. If you are not sure how to divide the design, send it over and our team can help trim it so the panels line up.
How do I clean and care for my print?
Dust regularly with a soft, non-abrasive cloth. For a deeper clean, use mild soap and water, then dry the surface to prevent water spots. Avoid ammonia, alcohol, and abrasive cleaners, which can cloud or scratch the acrylic.
How long do acrylic prints last?
With proper care, acrylic photo prints stay vibrant for roughly a decade indoors and about five years in covered outdoor settings. The UV-stable inks and durable panel keep colors looking fresh for years.
How should I store an acrylic print?
Keep it in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and moisture. Wrap it in a soft, non-abrasive material such as glassine paper or bubble wrap and lay it flat. Never stack acrylic panels directly on top of one another.
