Fence Banners

How to install the banner to a fence:

First, make sure that you use the right type of banner. Most fencing is susceptible to wind flowing through, so we suggest weaved vinyl mesh banners be installed.

Second, you need to have grommets in your banner, which we include at no extra charge with your order. Placing grommets across the top and bottom and on every corner – preferably every 12 inches, will keep your banner secure and stretch better.

As long as you have #1 and #2 from the above together, and preferably hems too, head to your fence. Visualize the top line there your banner needs to end up. Attach the first top corner to the fence, and following your visual line, keep attaching the banner through every grommet (without skipping or jumping) one by one across the entire top, finishing on the other end.

After you have the entire top attached very tightly and securely, and nothing is skipped or sagging, stretch tightly and attach both bottom corners, and then the bottom middle by pulling down.

Continue with the rest of the bottom grommets giving a reasonable amount of tension on the banner for every grommet.

Specifications

13oz. vinyl material

We suggest 13 oz. vinyl for smaller banners that will be attached to a fence backing. It is heavy enough to withstand outdoor elements and small enough to not billow in the wind.

8oz. mesh vinyl material

8 oz. mesh vinyl is suggested for larger banners installed on a fence. The tiny holes woven into these banners will provide ample air flow reducing stress caused by wind.

Grommets every 12 inches across top and bottom

We punch grommets every foot to allow plenty of installation options, so your banner can be securely attached to the fence using every grommet. Take special care to secure the ends and keep the banner stretched as much as possible to ensure years of effective use.

Hemming on all four sides

We add heat-welded hems that are double folded and seemed together on all four sides of your fence banner to provide added strength to the edges and grommets.

Design Your Own Wire Mesh Fence Banners

Do I have to use a special kind of banner on a fence?

No, you don’t, but our preconfigured fence banners will work wonders. It comes ready to be used out of the box, saving you time and the trouble of figuring it out on your own.

We’ve seen many saggy and failing banners on fences around our neck of the woods. Especially disappointing is to see a nicely designed school banner installed improperly on a fence around a school tennis or sport court with a fundraising or sponsorship opportunity message. A lot of thinly-spread school funds went into purchasing and designing that banner, and it deserves to be used better than that.

With that thought in mind, we created a custom pre-configured banner that will be perfect for using on wire mesh fences. We started with 13oz. vinyl material that is rated for up to three years of outdoor use if properly secured. Then, we added heat-welded hems on all four sides of the banner to increase its structural strength and to provide a double thick edge for grommet installation. We punch grommets every foot in this banner – that is every 12 inches across top and bottom – to ensure you can securely stretch it through every grommet hole onto the wire fence.
